Our History

Since Coopers Brewery was founded in 1862 by Thomas Cooper, the Cooper family has supported the community in a variety of ways.

Successive generations of Coopers have donated beer to fundraising initiatives, provided auction items for raffles, and given to charitable causes.

In 2006, the Coopers Foundation was established to ensure this family tradition continues well into the future, providing a focused structure to that social commitment and allowing Brewery staff, shareholders, and suppliers to contribute too.

Mission Statement

The Coopers Foundation aims to improve and protect the quality of life of Australians by providing support to charitable organisations with recognised strengths in medical research and health care, in youth education and aged care, and in fostering family and community support based on Christian values

Our Board of Governors

A board of Governors, consisting of Cooper family members, Brewery staff and external associates, manage the charitable giving of the Foundation.
